IRMLER GmbH was founded in 1995 by Steffan Irmler as IRMLER Motorsport & Tuning GmbH in Rehden and has been based in Drebber since 2006. Originally specializing in tuning Opel vehicles for motorsport, the company has its roots in the racing passion of Steffan Irmler’s father, Eberhard Irmler, who was active in the 1960s and 1970s. The integration of GEMA Motorsport in 2020 united two companies that share a deep passion for motorsport.
Since 1993, GEMA Motorsport has been offering high-quality products and services for motorsport enthusiasts, with a special focus on Opel vehicles. Opel front-wheel drive cars, from the 1.3-liter OHC to the C20XE (also known as STW engines), are still at the heart of the tuning business.
IRMLER uses modern technologies such as 3D scanning for reverse engineering and CAD design, complemented by traditional methods such as CNC turning, 5-axis simultaneous milling and EDM technologies. This combination creates excellent synergies between the two companies.
The current range of services includes the development and manufacture of wheels, racing parts, the restoration of classic racing cars, the construction of current vehicles and support at the racetrack.
GEMA Motorsport GmbH is an official manufacturer of wheels and is recognized by the German Federal Motor Transport Authority (KBA), which underlines the high quality standards and commitment to safety in racing and on the road. GEMA Motorsport GmbH is also an active member of VDAT, the German Association of Automotive Tuners.
Today, all IRMLER RACING products, vehicles and racing parts are sold by GEMA Motorsport GmbH under the registered brand name IRMLER RACING ©. IRMLER and GEMA are united by a shared history, an enduring passion for motorsport and an absolute dedication to precision and know-how.
Our mission is to keep the spirit of classic motorsport alive and to revive the fascinating technology of the 80s and 90s DTM era using state-of-the-art methods. We do everything we can to restore original engine and chassis parts and make lost technology possible through advanced technologies. Our aim is to preserve the legendary classics of yesteryear for the future and to constantly offer you new possibilities for your motorsport dream.

We use state-of-the-art reverse engineering technologies to meet your motorsport needs. With our 3D component measurement, we carefully scan and measure parts to digitally record them. This technology allows us to match new parts exactly to the original and ensure a perfect fit by digitally overlaying the scans. Our scanning arm checks the details of the parts, and once the CAD models are available, we can remake or make adjustments in shape and size at any time. We offer a comprehensive range of production methods for small and large series. With state-of-the-art turning and milling machines, including 3- and 5-axis simultaneous machines, we realize tailor-made solutions for your motorsport needs. Our experienced team ensures precise production of individual throttle systems, rims and other motorsport components. We specialize in engine and chassis parts as well as engine machining, including cylinder head machining.
